Wedding album samples
I’m so excited to finally tell you about the new albums that I am introducing into my top wedding packages! I currently offer three wedding packages, and for my top package I set out to find an album that truly stood out above the rest. I wanted something that would be a beautiful work of art, that had a variety of cover options, and that would stand the test of time to become a priceless heirloom. After months of research, I finally decided on Finao for my album company. Their quality is spectacular and their cover choices go above and beyond what I would ever expect from a company. They literally offer over one hundred cover choices including zebra fur, gorgeous leathers, silks, and many animal-friendly products as well. The hardest part is deciding on just one! I also love that the company is very eco-friendly. For example, their packaging materials are all recycled, they use as many recyclable and natural materials in their album construction as possible, they only purchase from tanneries that provide good working conditions for their employees, and each album is made by hand in the good ol’ USA. For more information about their albums and cover options check out http://www.finaoonline.com/.
A couple days ago I received my first Finao albums in the mail and I knew I had made the right choice. I was completely blown away by the workmanship, the quality, and their packaging! I appreciate nice packaging and Finao’s attention to detail was impeccable. Their products even come with a “green card” which details the recycled materials that they used.
I offer two types of albums in my top package; I refer to them as my Signature Series Album and my Signature Art Album. The Art album features pigment-based giclée printing on Hahnemühle German Etching paper, which is one of the finest art papers in the world. Let me tell you, it is gorgeous. The paper has a soft, watercolor-like quality that is both timeless and elegant. I chose to use Ryan and Sarah’s wedding for my Signature Art album sample as I felt the colors and overall feel of their beautiful wedding perfectly complement the Signature Art album. To highlight the beauty and quality of the materials used, I chose a more simplistic layout for this album. I also used the leather Chyna for their cover which is absolutely stunning.
I love the square spine that Finao uses; I feel like it’s a lot more modern than the round spine so many other companies uses.
If you look closely you can see the texture from the Hahnemühle German Etching paper.
Pages of course lay flat, and the crease in the middle is so small that it doesn’t distract from the rest of the album.
Album spreads can start on the left or the right, you choose! For this album, I chose to start on the right.
For those of you who want a more traditional paper feel, I also offer the Signature Series albums. These albums are printed on smooth, high-quality paper that allows for a little more drama and contrast. Pages can also be incredibly thick, which I love!
In the shot above, you can see just how thick the pages are. For this album I chose to use Jason and Sarah’s wedding and I kept their yellow and gray theme throughout. I also chose to do a two-toned leather cover with a cutout because I just can’t get enough of their leather! However, Finao offers tons of specialties covers such as metal, canvas, and acrylic, any of which comes standard in my top wedding package.
For this album I chose to start the first page on the left to illustrate a different option.
In addition to the Signature Series and Signature Art albums, my top package also includes an engagement album. Finao publishes these as well, with the option of any non-leather cover. Their pages are thinner but still beautiful and serve well as an engagement guestbook or an album to showcase your beautiful images. Engagement books can also be purchased a la carte.
I chose to use James and Stephanie’s recent engagement shoot for my album and it came out beautifully. Their cover is actually a fabric with the black design having a soft velvet feel.
I designed their album as if it were an engagement guestbook, so I left the backgrounds white with a lot more space. However, I involve each client in the selection of their colors, preferences, etc. so that we can design an album that perfectly captures your engagement and wedding day.
As you can see, pages are still thick and lay flat with a little bit of pressure. I literally started taking pictures as soon as I opened the album, so the pages didn’t lay quite as flush as they will with time.
So there they you have it! As I mentioned earlier, pictures don’t do these albums justice, so if you’re thinking of purchasing an album I strongly recommend setting up a consult to see them in person. You can also stop by the Frederick Bridal Expo at the Holiday Inn by FSK this Sunday, January 26 to see them in person!
If you’re looking at this post and thinking, “I never purchased a wedding album but after seeing these I have to have one!” please know that it’s never too late to upgrade your package or purchase one a la carte. As long as you have your digital files, I can work with you to design a wedding album that will perfectly capture your big day. These albums are top quality and are priced accordingly, but if you truly want a one-of-a-kind work of art that will be a family heirloom for generations, this is the album for you!
